Shopping for clothes

Sentimental powers might help you now
let's skip the hearts and flowers, skip the ivory towers
you'll be disappointed and I'll lose a friend'

-ABC (yes it's bombastic, over produced, and every bit as quintessentially 80's as the movie Wall Street, but I like it. And don't knock the gold suit either, the young cool Elvis wore one too.)

Yesterday I bought a fetching Geoffrey Beene oxford shirt. It's red, well not just red, a 'You'll never walk alone LFC red, a Chiefs get em' next year red, I'm hot blooded check it and see red. There is a greater than zero chance I will look good in this pup, but I'd still bet the under if I were you.

I need to extol the fitted shirt. I can't roll in XL or L territory, I'm too much of an orangutan, my arms are too long for an L, and the XL has too much room to move.

Fitted is where it's at, if you must stop short of bespoke. The only drawback is the packaging. I removed three tags, cardboard, plastic strips, tissue paper, and 5 pins AFTER I took the wrapper off. There is always one extra pin holding the shirt back after you are sure you've cleared it for laundry.

Today if I have time I will post some pretty dark stuff on this blog, so if that's not your bag, you can 'next blog' on over to some hearts and rainbows blog and read about the five people you meet in heaven.
